Good Riddance... (3)

I have to start this episode by apologizing for the one month break I took from the blog. To be honest, it's a pretty long story but I'm almost done with the project that is keeping me away from being as quick as I want to with posting episodes. I also have to mention that my search for a co-writer is finally over. Thanks to everyone that showed interest. I appreciate you all. Don't let me delay you further. I hope you enjoy this episode, and I hope I get to post the subsequent episodes faster than usual. Enjoy the read, people. I'd love to hear your thoughts and predictions for the next episode. Do feel free t o share with fr ien ds and leave a comm ent. xoxo... Faith ********************************************************************* The busyness in the room was overwhelming. I had to push myself through the make-up and hair stylists, plus their assistants, not forgetting the photographer calling the shots, plus his assistant carrying the stand for the fla...

You see, we all lie to ourselves at a particular time. Don't even try to argue with me on that. I'm very sure you've lied to yourself once, no matter how honest you think you are. But my case was peculiar. Since I spent what seemed to be the better part of my time thinking, fantasizing, coming up with ideas to take my business forward and the next better part of my time watching amazing movies about that perfect guy , I ended up lying enormously to myself on most occasions. I lied to myself about the weirdest things you could think of, the most obscene things, the most obvious situations when I should just face reality and get on with life. Can you blame me? I've been groomed to believe the best of every situation, to think positive, to hope for the best, to trust, to expect that light at the end of the tunnel, after all, there's always light at the end of every tunnel. I followed great principles I read in books, was taught by my mum, saw my dad exhibit, and hear...

Hi everyone. I know it's been forever since I dropped something, anything at all on my blog, and I'm extremely sorry. I've just had sooooo much to deal with in the past few months. That being said, I'm going to start a new series but would like to request inputs from anyone that may be interested. You can signify your interest by sending me a mail to be my writing partner for this series. I've decided to do this alongside anyone that may be interested because I would like a third view to my stories; the first and second being me and my mind... Lol. So, if you're interested in writing this story with me, do send me a mail via teewaieff@yahoo.com. Thank you. I hope we all enjoy this next story of mine... *wink* ........................................................................................................................................ This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events and incidents are either the produc...

Hello people. Thanks again for always following my blog. It feels so good to see the number of views rise. As you would have noticed, I'm really into stories revolving around relationships . I have decided to create a platform where we can talk about some issues that are quite popular amongst youths, basically but not restricted to 'relationships', and I hope that you guys will be able to help out with answers to the questions that will follow each short story. It's important to state from the on-set that the stories are majorly true-life stories, but identities - names and locations will be purely fictional.I believe we would all have a nice time contributing and in effect, providing solutions to pressing issues bothering our minds through this platform. Once again, I thank you for following the blog. We start off with the story below. Enjoy! *** ... From a Frustrated 'Engagee" It was a beautiful Friday afternoon like today. I was in the highest ...

Being Human (14)

Jay zoomed into the compound without paying any attention to Musa who was hailing him as usual. He didn't have time for greetings and jokes; not at that moment. He parked his car and with the rage he still felt, walked towards the door and began hitting the door. Saidat ran to the door before her madam  would hear the noise from her bedroom upstairs, to see who who it was. "Oga Jay, good morning" Jay nodded in response and walked past her without saying a word, straight to the bedroom. He opened the door without knocking and blurted out: "What is wrong with you? Why are you so bent on ruining my life? Why?" Mrs. Martins was seated at her dressing table, taking off her jewelry. She knew Jay was going to come after she had barged in on him that Sunday morning, and she had him exactly where she wanted. She did not take her face off from the mirror, as she continued slowly with the jewelry. "Are you deaf?"  Jay could feel the heat and vibrati...

Being Human (13)

"you should call him, you know?" Elizabeth gently said as she walked past Dolapo to her desk. Dolapo just smiled at her and watched her take her stroll back to her duty post. It had been one month and three weeks since she spoke to Jay, in actual fact she had not spoken to Jay since she left Abuja. She had promised herself to get involved in other things that will distract her from thinking about Jay, and had also decided not to pick his call nor call him till she was sure what to make of their relationship . She seemed  to be doing great in keeping herself busy as she was now a part of the decorating unit of the Youth Church and  now had a flat mate to keep her company. She didn't think she would cope with sharing her flat with Lizzy initially, but after seeing what Lizzy had gone through, she was more than eager to help accommodate Lizzy till she was able to get a place of her own, like she promised. She had also been able to drag Lizzy to attending the prog...

They had both done their best to pet Dolapo to sleep. She had wept for some time after seeing the pictures of Lizzy's bruised face . She kept asking what sort of man would beat another human being to the point where such wounds were inflicted. Folusho made sure her friend slept before she went back to bed. They had a long morning ahead. They both had flights to catch back to their base. Jay on the other hand, barely slept. He had to figure out a way to sort himself ASAP  before Dolapo found out anything. He had to see the Minister too, to finalize plans for the catering of his daughter's wedding. A part of him laughed at how much faith he had in the possibility of him still having the contract, the other part reminded him of Mrs. Martins and what she was capable of doing. He brushed the thought aside as he drifted off to sleep. *** It was just 7 am. A knock on the door was the last thing Jay could expect on a Sunday morning. He excused himself from the dining where t...
