You won't even believe this story if I shared it randomly as a caption on Instagram. So it's perfect that I'm taking you on a teeny tiny throwback trip to the first day of this month. Yes, I started December with tears. 😅 But before we go through the sad story of how Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) made me cry, let's take the throwback trip a bit further to the last weekend in November when I reunited with two of my friends after 5 years.                L-R: Faith, A and T 'A' was our official photographer, and he's not really into pictures. It was around 12:10 am when I was baptised with urine unintentionally by my sweet daughter. I say "unintentionally" because she's completely potty-trained and does not bed wet at all. Once you put her to sleep at any time of the day, she won't pee until she wakes up, but because of my trust issues ( please don't come for me ), I still wear a diaper for her to bed. 99% of the time, she wakes up with a clean diaper and only pees before her morning bath. However, on this lovely Thursday (9th December), things went a different route. She got back from school and decided she would only take fluids. She kept switching from one drink to the other, and I indulged her because it seemed the lunch Hubs packed for her to school was quite large, and in their school, you don't waste food.  Anyway, my daughter played, jumped, drank different things in between and slept quite late (around 11:00pm or so). On this day three years ago, God gave me the best gift ever in person of my amazing daughter.  Even though the first year came with a lottttt of work and drama; plenty crying, giving up, getting back at it and encouraging myself in the Lord (literally), the year leading to her third has been so amazing and transformational, not just for her but for me. She has grown so much and on countless occasions, the Holy Spirit has taught me some of the greatest lessons I've learnt this year through my daughter. Because I'm relishing the moments with my daughter as a mum for 3 years and counting, I won't waste too much of your time, neither will this blog be long ( so help me God ). I've not been able to keep up with this month at all, and I'm trying not to be hard on myself for not managing my time well, because one thing I know for a fact is that I've been utilising every second of every 24 hours of the past 14 days the best way possible. I have been driving a lot this year. Actually, I started the year with a resolution to perfect my driving skills in Lagos. It's not that I don't know how to drive. As a matter of fact, my husband calls me James Bond when it comes to driving in Ibadan, because according to him, I drove a certain type of way (super fast) the night to our wedding when we had to go home to pick souvenirs for our friends lodged somewhere far from my father's house. We had spent the entire day trying to perfect a dance ( that we eventually did not dance sef  😂); going through final wedding procession rehearsals in church and just going back and forth picking up stuff I can't even remember now. Anyway, by the time we were done with final errands, most of our friends had arrived and we forgot to pick their souvenirs which we had planned to give them at the hotel later that night.
