Tofunmi had walked into the hostel like someone that got beat up. She had just written her last exam for 200level and she was really exhausted. She had initially considered her lecturers as very mean people for placing all 200level exams in one week, but after her mum had called her about Ayomide’s health, she reconsidered her thoughts about her lecturers and was indeed grateful that she could finish on time and get home to attend to her son. Her post-exam plans had to be set aside as she had to go home. All she needed now was a chilled drink and sleep. As she dragged herself to her room, the ever lively Ibinabo met her on the corridor Tof babe, congrats o. Some of us will still continue the jacking for 2weeks. I’m not just in the mood to pick his calls” Tade responded with her sleepy voice. She was not in the mood for any more pleas from Ade; she had grown tired of the whole relationship. She forcefully got up from bed, checked her phone and saw 10 missed calls and a message that read: “hey babe, I said I was sorry. I really am. Work is bringing me to Ib today. Thot we could see before I left. Call me. Love u… Dee” She hissed and tossed the phone under her pillow. “good morning jare, better person” Tade said facing Funke. “it’s afternoon. I don’t blame you; it’s because you don’t have lectures till evening, that’s why you can afford to sleep till this time” Funke responded with her signature smile “what can I say? It’s not my fault now” Tade laughed as she went to her wardrobe to pick her tooth brush. “so, what is it this

"If you ever try that nonsense with me again, you will know who I truly am.... What rubbish..." "What will you do... Na so so grammar you go dey speak all the time. If you sabi book so much, wetin you dey do for here (you just like speaking english. If you're that literate, what then are you doing working in the market?)" The women were almost inseparable, the uproar was much, so many people were holding Mrs. Badmus and the other woman popular known as Aunty Asabe , from beating themselves. It was a major scene at bodija market that Monday afternoon. Mrs. Badmus was not known for things like this, she had always been of the best behaviour amidst other shop owners at the market, and was even elected as one of the executives of the Association of Bodija Market Women Union. So, it was a major surprise for everyone to see her raise her voice and be ready to even beat up Aunty Asabe. *** "I'd see you girls soon, ok?" Tofunmi said, boardin
