Hi guys. How have y'all been? Happy New Month!!!!!!! *I'm literally screaming here* Let me start by apologizing for the delay in posting the second part of my experience at the third Lagos Make-up fair organized by Pops Concepts and sponsored by Maybelline Newyork. I've been swamped with work, believe me. Anyway, I'm back today with the rest of my story that I'd be depicting with pictures. Don't we just love pictures? *wink*. Enjoy the read! There was a mobile ATM at the fair, just in case you ran out of cash to buy products. Nice Idea, right? That's the CEO, Haute Beauty World: Mrs. 'Biola Ologunro. Hello lovelies. Happy new week. Trust you all had a fabulous weekend. I had an eventful one and I just want to share a bit of how my weekend went. Read on! *********** Last Saturday started beautifully at my end here (the South-Western part of Nigeria). Saturdays as we all know, are characterized by various celebrations, parties, get-togethers and what have you. The day started on a 'not-so-smooth' way for me. I had woken up quite later than I expected my alarm to wake me up. I was that tired; didn't even hear it ring. I jumped out of bed when I realized I had a 7am appointment with a make-up client at the far end of my Ibadan base. Just as I set out with my make-up box in one hand and handbag on the other, the heavens opened and these heavy showers came pouring. This was the best opportunity to get my dad to release his car. I did my mushy pity face to daddy and in seconds, the keys to the car was released. Once I set out, I soon found out that I was going to proba...

Hello people. It's been a really long time I posted anything here. Truth is, I've been busier than busy itself. But I'm glad I got this few minutes to drop by to check on you, my lovely readers. There's so much catching up we have to do; and I have so much to talk about. But since I'm just dropping by to say hello, I'd just like you all to watch out for my all the fabulous gists I have in store for you, and my upcoming  "butterflies" series. Trust me, I'd be back to tell you all that has happened to and around me; and in my environs in a bit. Keep your fingers crossed. Peace!

Valentine’s Day Palava: The things we do for love!

I went happily to Queens Cinema Market with my just withdrawn alawee to get my boyfriend two gifts: one for his birthday and the other, for Valentine’s Day. ‘Sister, Fine Sister, Ajoke to rewa….’   They beckoned at me, to come and check out their men’s store. Finally I agreed to enter one of the seemingly cool stores to get suitable gifts for her man. ‘How much is this perf?’   I pointed at a well-packaged perfume with something that looked like a nice label. ‘Ha, Sister, you sef know good thing when you see am. That perf na original o.’ ‘How much jare? U people too   get mouth, just talk price make I commot’, I retorted. ‘The thing be say that perf wey you point at na N12,500 o ’, they finally summoned up courage to tell me the price.   I thought to myself, that these guys must be big jokers to have thought that I didn’t have more than enough to buy the perfume but I didn’t make my thoughts obvious. I went on to barg...

Preps for Valentine's Day? Tips....

Image
Hi guys (and ladies too... lol) I promised to drop simple tips to make this valentine special. All believers of Valentine's day, come along as we share simple tips to make valentine's day special for that one person that we really love. Mind you, these are things I thought about on my own. They may not be as popular as you would think. You can also drop tips that you think people could pick up from this blog and make use of... Enjoy the read.... #1 Don't get all worked up about Valentine's day I've seen people get so worked up about the 14th of February, year in, year out. It's a day to show some good loving to your relationship partners; and not a day to starve yourself of your comfort to please someone. As a matter of fact, I agree with some unblievers of the Vals day; that we shouldn't idolize one day to show love to our partners. If we're going to go by that theory, then there's no reason why anyone should pick a fight with his/her part...

Preps for Valentine's day?

Hello people.... I should start this post by welcoming everyone to this special month of love. It's that time of the year where we can literally feel love in the air, because of the 14th of February (Valentine's day) that will be celebrated everywhere. I decided to share a few tips for this month. But before I begin with the tips, I wanna know what your take on celebrating valentine's day is. I've heard so many divergent views on celebrating valentine's day. I have a couple of friends that tell me how they don't believe in 'idolizing' a day to show their relationship partners and spouses love. What do you think, people? " Should Valentine's day be celebrated? Should it just be a normal day, like the rest of the other days? Does it make any sense to spend so much on one day, or to pick a fight with our partners days before the D-day just to avoid the spendings?.... lol." I want to hear your views. I also want you guys to drop...
